Seychelles! More Than Beaches. History Too!

Quick mention. Whenever I travel I always like to get to know more about the place, its history, the culture of the people, and more. I am sure that all of you as well are the same way! A few however do come to the islands to simply find their ideal spot under a coco nut tree somewhere on a beach and close their eyes! This of course is very OK to do! However you need to know that Seychelles is not only beautiful to the eye with its God given natural settings but RICH, tres rich in HISTORY! Fascinating history. Take a tour around the islands! A great way to get to know the place better! Enjoy your visit! (Photo: State House. Seat of our President. Once this was the place where the Royal Governors lived and worked. From President Mancham to its current occupant, President Michel, it is the working office of our Seychellois Heads of State since independence on 29th June 1976. Interesting to note that the former French Royal Gouverneur, 'de Quincy', is still entombed there among the grounds magnificent gardens.) Coming?
