Carosol!

Hi there! Just back from a trip and meeting in Washington D.C! You see how far us 'island types' can get? A small world indeed.

So got back after a meeting about another project and got this great email from a friend. Seeing the photos brought back so many memories of the islands! Wondeful memories indeed.

What I am going to do now is basically paste onto this BLOG some interesting info about a very interesting fruit! After reading this do consider to come and visit the islands! The Seychelles awaits!

I just need to say as well that when you sign up with us you are entered and may win a $200VISA gift card!

Now for the info on the Sour Sop or Carosol.

Guyabano, The Soursop Fruit

The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo.
Why are we not aware of this? Its because some b ig corporation want to make back their money spent on years of research by trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale.

So, since you know it now you can help a friend in need by letting him know or just drink some sour sop juice yourself as prevention from time to time. The taste is not bad after all. It’s completely natural and definitely has no side effects. If you have the space, plant one in your garden.
The other parts of the tree are also useful.

The next time you have a fruit juice, ask for a sour sop.

Besides being a cancer remedy, graviola is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.

Seychelles indeed is blessed with so many tropical fruits - carosol or Sour Sop! Next time you are on the islands ask for one as a drink or eat it from the tree! Many of the restaurants offer this refreshing drink!

If you would like a copy of the email with the full content just let me know! Salam!

You Need To Be In The Seychelles!

No doubts about it! As I sit here and think about what is going on in this world today I think to myself how good it is to know that a place, an island place, like the Seychelles Islands exists! To each his or her own with their fond memories and roots or 'racine' as we say here. But Seychelles no matter where you are from.... grabs you from the moment you de-plane! You need to be in the Seychelles!

Visit soon and let us help you get there! Before I go....special mention to my Dad who celebrated his birthday on the 5th of August. He is now in South Africa! My mom who celebrated hers today, the 8th of August 2009. And best not forget my uncle, or tonton Nick, who is back on the islands and shares a birthday with our grandmother on the 2nd of August 2009! 4 years now since she left us but we remember always 'tante fifille'! While I am on a roll let me be the first to wish Ton Jim a happy one as well. 'Ton Jim' or 'Jimmy' to all his friends or 'Papa la Barbe' in honor of his distinctive white beard celebrates another special day on the 11th of August 2009! May Ja Bless U All!

Ton Jim releases yet another book, his autobiography in September 09 with the title,'Seychelles Global Citizen'. Available at ParagonHouse.Com! Reserve a copy today!

Special note and mention to our dearly departed cousine Marie-Simone, nee Tirant. Too soon did you depart us! God keep you.

Be back soon with more updates and tales of Seychelles today and yesterday!
