When Opportunity Knocks Open The Door

Today was just another day like any other. The DOW hit 10,000 for the first time in many months then slumped back down to just below that mark. I do not pretend to be one that 'buys' into the market. I merely mention this here because of the obvious impact that the 'market' has on the world.

I can recall not that long ago as I was walking along the beach of Beau Vallon one afternoon and as I did picking up on the interesting bits of conversation here and there. Yes even in this beautiful setting one could here visitors to the shores of the Seychelles talking about the 'market' and the volatility of Wall Street.

For me when one gets away one should 'get away'! Don't you think? I do. After all here we are on one of the most outstanding beaches in the world - seashells, coco-nut trees, the mighty Takamaka tree, beautiful scenery all around. Get Away Time Indeed!

Its going on 9pm in the evening or about 5 am in the Seychelles. Right now as I look out the window there is a slight chill in the air - ok not slight but definite chill and a cold rain which falls. If this continues the morning should be a fun affair indeed. How good it would be to feel the warmth of the tropic sun on my skin! Dream on!

The day will soon close for me and as I mentioned in the opening one day like any other. I was fortunate to meet a nice family from Canada,B.C, French speaking and we exchanged a few interesting words both in French and English. As well a couple from Italy on holidays in the US. As always I bring up the Seychelles and try to get them to visit.

Exchanging cards the Italian couple said that next summer they would give it a try. That was nice of them and I hope to hear from them to make their visit to the Seychelles a reality.

I will terminate for now and pick up again tomorrow. Before I do however I would ask a favour of a visit to one of our travel sites. If you do I would further ask that you price compare what we have on offer for Air Travel, Hotel Bookings against the other better known online sites. 68% of the time customers to our site found that we were in fact better priced! It does not hurt to give it a look - no?

Thank you in advance for your visit! More in a bit.

LeKK Adverts - Profile On UniqueOffers! Travel

Morning all! Or depending where you are at on this big beautiful world of ours - good evening! The other day I was updating this BLOG and had some points written down, all about 'old man winter' and the Seychelles, and when I went to post it, lost everything! Well that is life in a way. When this happens the best move, after a little bit of shouting, is to get back onto the saddle again!

So I am working on another update - again about 'old man winter' and the Seychelles, this time saving it to my file prior to posting! For those who have been blogging longer than I, I know you are probably chuckling at my apparent naivete! Well I am learning for sure!

In the meantime for those visiting this BLOG I take this time to highlight another advert appearing on LeKK Adverts on the UniqueOffersSeychelles! website!

Yes be preferred and pay no fees for airline bookings! And of course we hope to see you soon! Both signing up with us for this great travel site, and after, walking along the bustling streets of Victoria on the BIG island of Mahe in the Seychelles!

Carosol!

Hi there! Just back from a trip and meeting in Washington D.C! You see how far us 'island types' can get? A small world indeed.

So got back after a meeting about another project and got this great email from a friend. Seeing the photos brought back so many memories of the islands! Wondeful memories indeed.

What I am going to do now is basically paste onto this BLOG some interesting info about a very interesting fruit! After reading this do consider to come and visit the islands! The Seychelles awaits!

I just need to say as well that when you sign up with us you are entered and may win a $200VISA gift card!

Now for the info on the Sour Sop or Carosol.

Guyabano, The Soursop Fruit

The Sour Sop or the fruit from the graviola tree is a miraculous natural cancer cell killer 10,000 times stronger than Chemo.
Why are we not aware of this? Its because some b ig corporation want to make back their money spent on years of research by trying to make a synthetic version of it for sale.

So, since you know it now you can help a friend in need by letting him know or just drink some sour sop juice yourself as prevention from time to time. The taste is not bad after all. It’s completely natural and definitely has no side effects. If you have the space, plant one in your garden.
The other parts of the tree are also useful.

The next time you have a fruit juice, ask for a sour sop.

Besides being a cancer remedy, graviola is a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent for both bacterial and fungal infections, is effective against internal parasites and worms, lowers high blood pressure and is used for depression, stress and nervous disorders.

Seychelles indeed is blessed with so many tropical fruits - carosol or Sour Sop! Next time you are on the islands ask for one as a drink or eat it from the tree! Many of the restaurants offer this refreshing drink!

If you would like a copy of the email with the full content just let me know! Salam!

You Need To Be In The Seychelles!

No doubts about it! As I sit here and think about what is going on in this world today I think to myself how good it is to know that a place, an island place, like the Seychelles Islands exists! To each his or her own with their fond memories and roots or 'racine' as we say here. But Seychelles no matter where you are from.... grabs you from the moment you de-plane! You need to be in the Seychelles!

Visit soon and let us help you get there! Before I go....special mention to my Dad who celebrated his birthday on the 5th of August. He is now in South Africa! My mom who celebrated hers today, the 8th of August 2009. And best not forget my uncle, or tonton Nick, who is back on the islands and shares a birthday with our grandmother on the 2nd of August 2009! 4 years now since she left us but we remember always 'tante fifille'! While I am on a roll let me be the first to wish Ton Jim a happy one as well. 'Ton Jim' or 'Jimmy' to all his friends or 'Papa la Barbe' in honor of his distinctive white beard celebrates another special day on the 11th of August 2009! May Ja Bless U All!

Ton Jim releases yet another book, his autobiography in September 09 with the title,'Seychelles Global Citizen'. Available at ParagonHouse.Com! Reserve a copy today!

Special note and mention to our dearly departed cousine Marie-Simone, nee Tirant. Too soon did you depart us! God keep you.

Be back soon with more updates and tales of Seychelles today and yesterday!
